Purity is half of faith, the key to prayer, and the primary condition for the acceptance of acts of worship. It is divided into spiritual purity from polytheism and sins, and physical purity from ritual impurity and physical filth.

Purposes of Purity in Islam: The purposes of purity in Islamic jurisprudence are divided into two senses: the first is terminological and jurisprudential, referring to the intended actions themselves within the chapters of purity rulings; the second comprises teleological and spiritual purposes, which relate to the wisdom and ultimate objective behind its legislation.

Fundamental Pillars of Ablution: Washing the face, washing the hands up to the elbows, wiping the head, and washing the feet up to the ankles, while observing the proper order (Tartib) and continuity (Muwalat). These rulings reflect directly on the validity or invalidity of the prayer.
